T.J. was born on June 29, 1968 in Calgary, Alberta, the oldest of four children. He contracted viral encephalitis as a six year old, resulting in a permanent brain injury. T.J. was involved with Lethbridge Family Services, DeCapo Program, and for the last twelve months, his care was managed via family managed programs, through P.D.D. The family is so grateful for T.J.'s care-giving staff, Anne Freeman and Lynn Bouldry.
Throughout the years, T.J. participated in Lethbridge Special Olympics, excelling in bowling and swimming. T.J. was the ultimate Calgary Flames and Calgary Stampeders fan. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was a sporting event or just eating Sunday dinner - it didn't matter.
He is survived by his Mom and Dad, Peggy and Tom; sister Kriste-Lynn Rose (Christopher); brothers J. Barton (Barbara) and Patrick (Audrey); eight nieces and nephews, and a myriad of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends may meet the family prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
