He is the loving father of Janet Dudley of Lethbridge, Darlyne (John) Jewitt of Vancouver, Val Nilsson (Kevin Anderson) of Magrath, Roslynn (Don) Heggie of Raymond, and Bruce (Rebecca Fast) Nilsson of Lethbridge.
Beside his children, he is survived by 12 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren, brother Keith, sisters: Iris and Shirley. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Ethel, mother Mariette Nilsson, father Bert Nilsson, brothers Moose and Jack, son-in-law Doug Dudley.
Ross was born June 1, 1918 in Raymond, Alberta. He married Phyllis Bailey in 1946 and lived in Raymond for the remainder of his life.
He was a farmer, rancher, businessman, and in 1965 started Hi-way 52 Feeders in Raymond. He was instrumental in bringing Simmental cattle to Canada. Ross retired to become an avid fisherman, and an active member of the Raymond Lions Club.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
