February 25, 1958 - June 22, 2016
On June 22, 2016, a man with a personality that could fill a room and a heart big enough that all who knew him felt unconditional love, was called home to his Heavenly Father.
For those that had the great blessing of knowing Ron, even just for a short time, were given a glimpse into what a genuine, caring, and Christ-like person he was. The void that is left behind for his loving and eternal companion, Lynn, and his four children, and many, many others, is something that can only be filled with our memories of him and how loved and important he made each and every person feel.
We are thankful for each and every day we had with Ron and for him sharing with us his passion for Waterton, hunting, James Taylor and the Eagles. We will miss his late night talks filled with stories and advice, the "just to talk" phone calls, games of Rook, feather pens, shoe goop, stories to the grandkids about the "big black bear", Abou Ben Adhem recital, reloading bullets, stories of the "good old days", chimichangas, bushing, watching him pull Lynn in for one of his big bear hugs, his love for his dogs, and how he made us feel like we were truly his top priority.
"You can close your eyes" until we meet again. We love you.
Ron was predeceased by his Mother and Father, Margaret and Caldon Hill, as well as his sister Marlene and his brother Keith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn, and his four children: Lyndsey (Dustin) Tolman, Kristen (Dustin) Sheen, Carson (Liz) Hill, and Kaitland Hill, as well as eight grandchildren.
Friends may meet with the family ONLY on Friday, June 24 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL, Raymond, Alberta.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at LDS - Taylor Street Chapel, with Bishop Jim Steed officiating.
Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.
