Keith Deloyd Braithwaite of Blairmore, beloved husband of Sylvia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the age of 77 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his five devoted children: Alan of Blairmore, Diana (Hal) Currie of Okotoks, Randy (Betty) of Calgary, Terry (Ronda) of Wenatchee WA, and Renee (Peter) Clark of Calgary. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Donna (Louis) Schumers, and a brother-in-law Gordon Jacobs and Lori Heggie.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Deloyd and Ethel Braithwaite, and a sister-in-law Gayla Jacobs.
Born in Manti, Utah, Keith moved to Magrath with his mother following the premature death of his father. He married his sweetheart Sylvia Christensen at the Cardston Temple, and they have rarely been away from each other's side for the past 55 years.
A faithful member of the LDS Church, Keith served a mission in New Zealand. After obtaining his education at Brigham Young University, he was a school teacher for 33 years.
A service celebrating Keith's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bellevue, Alberta, on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Darrel Johnston officiating. Friends may meet the family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond.
