My Mom just learned of your Dad's passing a few weeks ago. On behalf of our family thank you for sharing thoughts of your Dad. I remember we were alley neighbors in Lethbridge and our parents stayed close as friends over the years. I remember hiking Chief Mountain with your Dad, our family and the Prince family. Your Dad was a very well prepared mountain man. Good memories.

I was fortunate to have worshipped, scouted, acted in the Mousetrap, and was even hired to paint their home! Every experience we had together was great! I can see his smile and hear his laugh as I think of him. I can hear Dan laugh too--I think it's pretty similar. I have many good laughing memories. I'm out of town tomorrow for the funeral, so I'm sorry we won't see you. Many happy memories with the Harkers!
Love and best wishes, Brent and Celeste Hamilton

So sorry for your loss of such a good man. I met Gary when I was working at Fort Whoop-Up and he gave me invaluable advice when we were putting together the newsletter - The Dispatch. We both had interesting experiences with fonts, text boxes, layout. and grammar of which his expertise is still with me today as I am still writing newsletters. Also, he had such a great time volunteering for Christmas at the Fort plus other activities including driving and taking care of the horses. We had kept in touch over the years since I left Lethbridge and will always remember the professional gentleman he was. Prayers to all of you.

I had the pleasure of working with Gary at the Lethbridge Herald. I remember him as a hard working editorial staff person who always had a pleasant word for all those around him. Rest In Peace my friend. Your kind heart and positive attitude lives on in my memory.
God Bless!.
