Edward C. Chymboryk

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of EDWARD CARL CHYMBORYK, on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the age of 89 years.

Edward is survived by his sons; John (Shauna), James (Nellie), Douglas, and his daughters; Lori and Linda, five precious grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Edward was predeceased by his soul mate Maxine.

He was born on April 28, 1926, the third of six children in Saskatchewan and raised in Grand View, Manitoba, in the Qu'Appelle Valley. Dad after leaving home, and a brief stint in the army (PPLI), was up for adventure which took him across the country. Dad was a man who was never afraid of hard work and putting in an honest day's work - ideals which he passed on to his children. He was also a living example on how to honor vows and commitments made to his wife, family and others.

Dad will be forever remembered for regaling family and friends with stories from his colourful past. His passion for helping others was exemplified through his 31 years of service on the Lethbridge City Police and coaching baseball. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he took great joy in magnifying his various callings.

His loving example will be missed.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street North Lethbridge.

At his request, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
