ANGELICA PATRANEL GOODSTRIKER PACE

"Iss toi saa paakii" - swaying in the water

Beloved daughter, sister, grand daughter, niece, cousin, and friend of E. Rochelle and Corey Pace and all the families of the late Rufus Goodstriker Sr. had left us suddenly to join Grandpa, Uncle Charlie, Auntie Lorraine, Uncle Hugh, and Great Grandpa and Grandma Brewer on their Spiritual Journey to the Creator Thursday January 27, 2011 at the age of 18.

On May 8, 1992 Angel entered our world fighting for her life. She was born with meconium which began her challenges from brain delay and seizures. Over her growing years she had many mental and physical battles with numerous medical procedures to allieviate the seizures and although she was non-verbal she sure got her communication across to people. From birth she was so precious. She was like a china doll, so fragile, yet so pretty. She has enlightened our days with love and humour and she allowed us to experience the beginning of her spiritual fulfillment with our Creator. Such a brave and courageous young woman, Angel taught us compassion, patience, strength, and that laughing heals us all throughout the many sufferings she had to endure.

A Little While

We held her for a little while...

Made plans to watch her grow...

We played each waking moment...

So she'd know we loved her so...

We cherish all the tiny things...

That went unnoticed then...

A special bond between us grew...

My little one, my friend...

A place of honour she will have...

In my heart and in my home...

It gives me strength and peace...

To know she's no alone...

We know that Jesus holds her close...

And tends her every need...

My child is safe in Heaven...

She holds a noble place indeed.

Left to mourn her passing are her loving parents, Corey and E. Rochelle Pace, her beloved siblings Coleman, Timberly, C. Wyatt; pets Luna and Cookie; Grandmother Celina Goodstriker; Aunties Kathy Goodstriker (Godmother), Christine Blackwater, Frances Weasel Head, Joyce Goodstriker; adopted Aunts Louise and Tina Weasel Fat, Georgia Goodstriker, Yvette Hrubey, and Sally Listener; Uncles Rufus Jr., Leon Robert Goodstriker, John Pace, Denny Listener and all her Goodstriker, Brewer, and Pace cousins and relatives.

The family extends extra-special warm hugs to the following people of whom we are eternally grateful and most thankful to: the nursing staff of the pediatric's ward, Dr. K. Chan for being there from day one. The doctors, nurses and staff of the neurology ward at the Alberta Children's Hospital, Michelle and Peter Etches and family- you are awesome, the wonderful staff at Greystoke, all her educators, and school aides, and all you daily staff and personnel who interacted with her and helped mould her into the beautiful flower she grew to be, all cousins, friends and classmates who she rock and rolled with and shared many fond times with her.

A Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. with Prayer Services at 7:00 p.m. in C.S. GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 S. North, Lethbridge.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the Blood Band Cemetery.
