Tsuyako (Chuck) Tajiri, passed away peacefully at the age of 99 years old.
Chuck was born October 20, 1924, to Yuichi and Yasuno Katakami of Stave Falls, BC.
Chuck met the love of her life, Tomo (Tom) Tajiri in Kindergarten and they were married 67 years before Tom passed away with Chuck by his side.
In the late 1950’s Tom and Chuck moved with their family to the Vauxhall area and purchased land and began their farming operation.
Soon Chuck’s time was quickly filled with her grandchildren’s hockey games, piano recitals and dance competitions. Her grandchildren were her life.
Chuck was often found on the golf course, at the bowling alley, curling or in the kitchen, cooking and baking. She was known for her perfectly blue-tinged hair, always painted nails, and those love taps on the back that, unknowingly to her, became harder as she aged.
Chuck is survived by her sons, Brian and Craig Tajiri and daughter, Gail Ikebuchi, four grandchildren, Bradley (Kelsea) Tajiri, Tyler Ikebuchi, Stephanie (Bryan) Reynolds and Stacey (Brandon) Petite as well as five great grandchildren, Ryan Tajiri, Emmitt and MacKinnon Reynolds, Leo and Charlie Petite.
Chuck was predeceased by her husband Tom, her parents, her sons Gene Tajiri and two infant children, plus her two brothers and sister.
A private family service will be held. Koden and flowers are gratefully declined.
