Robert Barry Cookson

After suffering through various health issues, Robert went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born June 7, 1964.  He was a wonderful man who put his life on hold to take the time to look after his parents for 20 years.  He worked as a Health Care Aide and enjoyed working with Seniors very much. 

He met the love of his life, Jayne Cookson in February 2006, and they were married on July 26, 2008.  Robert was always a very healthy person until he took the 2 covid vaccines and that is when his health issues began.  He had a stroke as a result from the covid vaccines and then diagnosed with having high blood pressure, diabetes and in June of 2022, he was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia. 

He leaves to mourn his wife Maria Jane Cookson of almost 15 years; his brother, Ian; and sister, Josie; his nieces, nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews; his sister-in-law, Helen Cookson; also his wife’s family in Saskatchewan: Susan & Henry Unger; Anne & Marvin Arcand, Bill & Connie Klassen, Ben & Darlene Klassen. 

Robert was pre-deceased by his parents, Nathaniel & Irene Cookson; his step brother, John Cookson; and his niece, Shirley Cookson. 

A memorial service will be held soon at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home in Lethbridge, Alberta and another memorial service will be held for Robert in the Toronto area by his family at a later date.
