Robert Owen Byam passed away on August 27, 2024 at the age of 67.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Stanley Jack Byam and Mabel Dorothy Byam, as well as his brothers Kenneth Byam and Leland Byam.
Robert will be remembered by his children; Amanda Byam, Brittainy Byam, Dennis Byam, Devon Byam, and his grandchildren Matilda and Alexander Thurman. He is also survived by his brothers Jack Byam, Calvin (Janie) Byam, Brian Byam, his sister Laurie (Terry) Doerksen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Jack and Mabel. He was the oldest of their 6 children. He was involved in Scouts and Air Cadets as he grew up. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints in the Geneva, Switzerland Mission and he spent most of his time during his mission in Nice, France.
Robert loved music and his guitars and would often entertain at family gatherings. He was involved with the Raymond Playgoers Society for years in the chorus and staging.
He loved to read with a passion and enjoyed spending time playing games. He had a great sense of humor. Robert lived and worked his entire life in Lethbridge and Raymond Alberta.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 1:00PM at Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge, AB. All are welcome to attend.
