Richard John Dewar

Richard John Dewar (Rick) passed away suddenly on February 26, 2025, at home near Vauxhall, Alberta, Canada.

Rick was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, on December 7, 1965. He is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Michael (Tina) and Mark; his stepdaughters, Tisha Gilbert, Jessica (Chris) Dick, and Amanda Thornhill; his grandchildren, DJ, Tias, Mackayla, Kamee, Cheyenne, Nevaeh, Jayden, TJ, Myles, Kezia, Kayden, Chloe, Eric, Nathan, Adi, Stacey, and Layne; and his daughter-in-law, Tiffany Heidt.

Rick was one of a kind. He lived life to the fullest while he could. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and would do anything for them. Rick loved being out on a lake in his boat or riding down the highway on his motorcycle. Once you were friends with Rick, you were friends for life. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to you if you needed it. He will be missed by all who knew him.
