Oliver Gerard

Oliver Gerard, beloved husband of Ellen Victoria Gerard of Warner, Alberta, passed away peacefully in Raymond, Alberta on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the age of 93 years.

Besides his loving wife, Oliver is survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother, father, two brothers, one sister, as well as by all of his children.

Oliver was born in Broadview, Saskatchewan in 1931. He attended school until grade 3 then stayed home to work on the family farm. Oliver worked many jobs; farming, landscaping, janitorial, window washing, town foreman, as well as many others. He did all that despite missing most of the fingers on his one hand from a farming accident when he was a child. Oliver was very stubborn and set in his old-fashioned ways, and he always tried to help out whenever he could.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Warner Cemetery with Bishop Daniel Court officiating.
