Mildred Aleta (Wilde) Mendenhall

    Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mildred Aleta Wilde Mendenhall, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the age of 92 years. 

    Mildred was born on April 2, 1932 in Welling, Alberta, Canada to parents Reed Leroy Wilde and Katie Glenn Bullock Wilde. 

    Mildred is survived by her loving husband Lorin J. Mendenhall and their seven children; Thomas Clark (Lori) Mendenhall, Kim Mendenhall, Kathy (Kirk) Mendenhall Harline, Lorin Reed (Darla) Mendenhall, Robert Wayne (Dixie) Mendenhall, Linda (Randy) Mendenhall Lonsdale, Lisa Mendenhall Orr. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

    Mildred was predeceased by her parents, and 3 siblings; Carrel Wilde Wolsey, Gordon Wayne Wilde, and Dorothy Wilde Drewery, granddaughter Jocelyn Kay Lonsdale Ogrins, great granddaughter Lily Elena Stone and great grandson Hudson James Stowe.

     Mildred was born and raised in Welling, Alberta. She was an adventurous and independent farm girl. 

    She met the love of her life, Lorin, while in high school in Raymond, Alberta.  Millie and Lorin held hands everyday of their life together. 

    Mildred always gave her whole heart to loving and serving her family and her church. 

    Memories of family camping trips that she meticulously planned and lovingly enjoyed, home sewn Halloween costumes and individualized drawings on lunch sacks pepper the lives of her children. 

    She filled their bellies with scrumptious food and steadied their souls with a solid love of Jesus Christ. He is her family's anchor at this difficult time. 

    Friends may meet the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond Stake Centre on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm as well as on Monday, May 6, 2024 prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the Stake Centre. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
