Mary Esther (Lavallie) Nash

Mary Esther Nash, beloved wife of Robert Vanderflier of Picture Butte, Alberta, passed away at home on December 3, 2025, at the age of 76 years.

She is the loving mother of Shane and Janet Dumont of Raymond, Alberta, and is also survived by her grandson, Steven Dumont.

She was predeceased by her ex-husband Delano Dumont and her grandson, Joesph Dumont.

Mary was born in Medicine Hat and spent her younger years in Manyberries. Her love for small animals and big skies continued throughout her life as she enjoyed traveling the many backroads of southern Alberta and Saskatchewan, fueling her interest in the local histories of the areas she explored.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to the Lethbridge Humane Society.
