Lorraine Rita (Demeo) Helgesson

Mrs. Lorraine Rita Helgesson (Demeo), beloved wife of Stefan Helgesson, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on January 6, 2024, at the age of 71.

As well as her husband Stefan, Lorraine is survived by her brothers Tom (Heather) Demeo, Michael Demeo, sister Louisa Demeo, Aunt Maria Fogolin, as well as her nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents; Eugenio and Florence Demeo.

Born in Trail, B.C. and raised in Castlegar, BC., she completed nursing school and spent some time working in Campbell River, BC.  In her early 20's Lorraine and a friend ventured off to Lethbridge, AB. This is where she met the love of her life, Stefan. They married in 1987. Lorraine was a dedicated LPN and spent years working at St. Michaels Health Centre and Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

A Memorial Service for Lorraine will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, 11:00AM at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home (703 - 13 St N, Lethbridge).

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. (please see links below).
