Lindzi Wynn Spackman, the third daughter of Dori Spackman and the late Melvin Spackman, transitioned on Saturday, November 5, 2022, after a lengthy battle with illness.
She is survived by her mother, her sister Melisa (Dale) Cowan, her brother Devin (Shelley) Spackman, and her brother-in-law Neal Minor.
She was predeceased by her father, and her sisters Shanna DeLyn and Delani Kye.
Lindzi is also survived by her nieces and nephews Treayn (Mike) Neilson, Jerredi (Josh) Hauck, Davey (Taylor) Spackman, Teigen (Blain) Dobbin, Alexis (Andy) Hull, Grayden (Katelynn) Cowan, and Keelan Cashmore who nick-named her Auntie “Fizz”. They were all her favorites.
Lindzi completed her early education in Lethbridge schools, including Lakeview Elementary School, Allen Watson Middle School, and Winston Churchill High School. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Lethbridge and had begun a master’s degree in Fine Arts.
Throughout her life Lindzi was active in theater, music, and speech arts. She trained in vocals, piano, speech, art, and guitar. Her main interests were stage management and theater direction.
Lindzi liked to travel and experience new places. She resided and worked in both Seattle, Washington and San Francisco, California. Later, she moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where she was involved in the Fringe Festivals.
Baseball was her favorite sport, and she was an avid fan of the New York Yankee’s. This was an interest she shared with her grandfather, her mother, and her brother.
Lindzi’s good nature and sense of humor were assets. She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and always loved by her family and friends.
