Jonathan Hyde

Jonathan James Martyn Hyde beloved husband of the late Susanne (Dzioba) Hyde, passed away at St. Michaels Palliative Care Centre on January 14, 2026, at the age of 77 ½ years old.

Jonathan was born in Raymond on July 13, 1948, to John and D. Mary Hyde. Jonathan was raised and educated in Raymond. He spent many years working as a truck driver, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Later, he continued his working life as a welder at SRI. On St. Patrick’s Day in 1990, Jonathan married the love of his life, Susanne. Together they built a meaningful life filled with love, commitment, and shared memories. Their marriage was blessed with two children, whom they welcomed and raised with pride.

He is the loving father of Keelan and Jeannine both of Lethbridge, Alberta. Jonathan is also survived by two sisters; Jacquie Bly of Magrath, AB (predeceased by her husband Rodney), and Josephine (Reinhold) Ebner of Lethbridge, AB; brothers-in-law, Pete (Dot) Dzioba, Lance Dzioba, and sister-in-law Roxy (Jim) Gain of BC, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Susanne Hyde (Dzioba); Susanne's parents, Peter & Isabelle Dzioba; two brothers David & Christopher; his parents John and D. Mary Hyde.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Coaldale (2114 18 Street, Coaldale) with Pastor Gary officiating.
