John Reid Wilson

John Reid Wilson, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie, who had been by his side since they met 21 years ago.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ian and Ruth Wilson.

John is lovingly remembered by his family: his children, John Robert (Cassie) and their children, William, Braeden, and Wade; Jordan (Brittany) and their children, Preston, Remmington, and Kolton; and his sister, Kathleen, along with her children, Ethan, Darrel, Caitlin, and Bridget.

John had a passion for cooking and was always experimenting with unique recipes that others might not have dared to try—yet they always turned out wonderfully. He was especially well known for his cheesecakes. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, canning, and making sausage. John took great joy in sharing his homemade creations with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He had a quick wit and was truly a jack of all trades—able to build just about anything and even guide others through fixing a car over the phone.

Above all, John had a remarkable ability to bring a smile to anyone’s face, no matter their mood, and his hugs were unforgettable.

His memory will live on, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026. A public viewing will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 St N, Lethbridge. Following the viewing, a graveside service will be held at 1:45 p.m. at the Raymond Cemetery – Temple Hill.

A potluck Celebration of Life will follow from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 221 North 400 West, Raymond.
