Georgia 'Ruth' Anderson

April 11, 1934 to October 1, 2022

    Surrounded by her loving family, Georgia ‘Ruth’ Anderson passed away peacefully in Taber, Alberta on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the age of 88 years. She was born on April 11, 1934, in Cardston, Alberta to Heber and Loreen Matkin. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Gary and by her brothers and sisters Eva, Grant, Lamont, and Lorna. She is survived by her 7 children, Ron (Marie), Dale (Shauna), Valerie, Keith (Ana), Paul, Nolan and Sam, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and an adopted family member Robyn Holmes.

    Our mother was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

    Growing up, she was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on. She was a woman of strong faith and served in many church callings with dedication and devotion. She instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, serving others and the importance of doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.

    Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 7th, 2022, at the Barnwell LDS Chapel (498 - 5th Avenue South, Barnwell, Alberta). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada.  Special thanks to the Good Samaritan Society at Lindenview for her care.

    Mother, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
