Garry Wilbur Gregson

Garry Wilbur Gregson, loving husband of Patricia Joan Gregson for 65 years, passed away in Magrath on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the age of 88 years.

Garry grew up in Cardston and married Joan Rolfson on July 23, 1957. Together they raised six children; Bonnie (Brent) Hirsche, Lori (Robert) Heringer, Lisa (Scott) Shettell, Garry (Bonnie) Gregson, Leslie (Merthan) Beck and Terri (Shaun) Cahoon. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren with two more greats on the way!

Garry was always young at heart and was always getting into trouble with the grandkids. He wore a smile on his face, and would always crack a punny joke or two that could make you smile. He was a word lover and could quote many poems by heart but The Cremation of Sam McGee by Robert W. Service was his favourite. You could always find Garry with his hair pristine and a notebook and pen in his front shirt pocket. He was a man of large stature with an even larger heart. He could befriend people and animals alike. Kittens would flock to him, and he could never contain his glee.

Garry helped and served diligently in his church. He was a man of faith who loved his saviour and set an example for his family who came after him. Though his spirit was forever young, his body did age. Nevertheless, his smile never faded.

Garry Wilbur Gregson – husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Magrath Garden Place Chapel with Bishop Scott Wolsey officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the Stirling Cemetery.
