Gail Kristine Bester

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Kristine Bester, a beloved resident of Edenbridge in Lethbridge, who left us peacefully on October 21, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Gail was deeply cherished by her roommates and caregivers who lived & worked alongside her for many years, both of whom were not only her friends, but her family.

Gail and her dear friends Barb and Cindy came to Lethbridge in 1991.Gail, Barb and Cindy lived together for nearly 20 years and became a family of their own, filled with love and support. Recently, Gail found a treasured friendship with her current roommates Pauline & Christine whom she has lived with for the past 2 years.  

One of Gail’s greatest joys was watching the birds flutter around the feeder outside her window, her face lighting up with the simple beauty of nature. She had a sweet tooth, particularly for brownies! She delighted in the little pleasures of life, especially in cozy blankets and her beloved stuffies. Gail loved riding the bus, gazing out the window with a smile on her face as the world passed by. She cherished vacations, especially her trips to the hot springs; her smile radiates in the photos taken during her trips to Canmore, Banff and Radium just to name a few.

Gail was surrounded by a network of caregivers and friends who loved and cared for her deeply. She will be remembered with great fondness and affection by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Gail, you will be missed.

A Celebration of Gail’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday November 13, 2024, at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 13 Street North, Lethbridge. An opportunity to pay your final respects will begin at 12 noon. Gail will be laid to rest in the Royal View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
