Francis May Langston

Francis May Langston of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the age of 92 years.

Francis is survived by her children Terri Langston of Lethbridge, AB, Lynn (Dale) Brown of Saskatoon, SK, Bev (Russ) Kunnick of Martinsville,SK; daughter in law Karen Langston of Waterous, SK; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Raymond & Ruby Arno; son Reg Langston; sister Jean Froese; brother Lawrence Arno and grandson Jesse Soderstrom.

Francis was born June 12, 1932, in Dodsland, Saskatchewan to Raymond & Ruby Arno. She graduated from Haultain High School in Saskatoon and shortly after high school she met and married James Langston. Together James & Francis welcomed 4 children. Throughout her life Francis worked a variety of jobs in the custodial industry eventually settling in a position with the University of Saskatchewan. It was during her time there that Francis was awarded the Honorable mention for Custodian of the Year. In her retirement Francis spent over 100 hours volunteering with the Interfaith Foodbank and won the LSCO 2000 Carpet Bowling tournament. She will be deeply missed.

Francis will be remembered privately by her family and will be inurned in the Columbarium at the Mountain View Cemetery next to her grandson Jesse.
