Emmanuel Mborinani Kamia

Emmanuel Mborinani Kamia, beloved son of Constancia Waraga of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away at home on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 25 years.

Emmanuel was born in South Sudan during war time to mother Constancia Waraga and father Kalisto Nzeme. Growing up, he attended Father Leonard Van Tighem Junior High School and later graduated from Ecole Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School. He also attended Red Deer Polytechnic Business Administration and had a goal of becoming a corporate lawyer.

Emmanuel graduated High Attended Red Deer Polytechnic Bachelor of Arts Communications program in the School of Arts and Sciences. Admitted to Mount Royal University in the program of Bachelor of Business Admission. He Achieved seven athletic medals, Hawks Basketball 2015 Top Defensive Player, LTCHS Basketball MVP 2016-2017, Lindsay Thurber Raider's Football 2016 Most Improved Player.

Emmanuel loved sports and played basketball, tennis, and football with Lindsay Thurber Raiders and achieved the most improved player award in 2016. His ambition for sports led Emmanuel to open his basketball YouTube channel, which began to monetize. 

Friends may meet with the family from 8:00 – 9:45 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Martha’s Parish, 355 Columbia Blvd W, Lethbridge, Alberta. The Funeral service will follow, beginning at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Timothy officiating. Interment will take place at Archmount Cemetery, 2710 Westside Dr W, Lethbridge, Alberta. Reception will follow at the Multicultural Centre - 421 6 Ave S, Lethbridge, AB  .
