Deanna Lynn Brown, beloved wife of Gerald Brown of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully June 3, 2022, at St. Michaels Health Centre at the age of 59 after a courageous, lengthy battle with cancer.
Deanna was a loving mom to her two children Christopher Brown (Justine) of Calgary; Danielle Bodnar (Brock) of Lethbridge. Adored Grandmother to the 6 loves of her life; Haley, Logan, Brenden, Kaesyn, Lynden and Aspynn.
She is survived by her parents Bill and Maryanne Wylie, her sister Wanda Rowland and brother Wayne Wylie.
She was born in Vulcan, AB December 5, 1962, and was the oldest of three. She had a zest for life, in high school she loved cross country running and volleyball. She always looked for the next adventure. Deanna Graduated from Okotoks Sr. High in 1980. She married her High School sweetheart Gerald Brown in 1981, they lived together in Okotoks up until 1998 before relocating to Taber, AB and settling in Lethbridge, AB. If you didn’t catch her at the hockey rink cheering on her son, you were sure to find her at the baseball diamonds cheering on her daughter. After the hustle and bustle with her children settled and they moved on to their own families, she enjoyed scrapbooking, making her own unique cards, her garden and spoiling her grandchildren.
Her greatest achievement was her family, she was immensely proud of all her children and grandchildren, she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
She is joining her parents-in-law in the Kingdom of Heaven - Walter and Jennie Brown who I am sure were waiting with open arms and a cup of coffee.
A private ceremony for a celebration of Deanna’s life will be held at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Jack Addy Center in Lethbridge or Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary.
