With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Darlene Bowen, who left this world peacefully, surrounded by love, on December 3, 2025. Darlene was a gentle and kind presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Darlene will be deeply missed by her husband, Herbert; her siblings Raymond, Lorraine, Brenda, and Sherry; and her children Chelsea (Ben), Krista (Will), Samuel (Becka), and Melanie (Ike). She is also lovingly remembered by her many adoring grandchildren: Evanny, Aaron, Joshua, McKye, Shaylene, Levi, Kamber, Cassidy, Kallie, Hadley, Enoch, Nora, James, Eliza, Mark, and Gwen. She was predeceased by her brother Dennis and her parents Clarence and Grace Cosens.
She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to be a part of her life. She loved working with the staff and students at Glenwood School and will be remembered for her creativity, compassion, and kindness.
Her gentle spirit brought comfort to many, and her warmth made everyone feel welcome. Darlene’s thoughtful, quiet nature, and the way she consistently lifted those around her, will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Glenwood LDS Church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Chinook Lodge in Cardston and Linden View in Taber for their exceptional care.
