Carman Walter Sadlemyer of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at home on April 28, 2026, at the age of 79 years.
He is survived by his sister Linda Van Soest (Ernie) - Gregory and family, and his special friend Ellen.
Carman led an interesting and varied life, apprenticing with Hudson Bay Northern Stores going on to manage various stores in northern BC and Alberta. He also owned several businesses until his retirement. Carman was always looking for something new which led him to acquire a ski instructor’s license and a class 1 license. As he aged, he stayed active, spending many hours riding his bike around Lethbridge. But his biggest joy was watching the trains passing by.
A public viewing will be held Monday, May 4, 2026 at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral home, 703-13 St. N. from 1:30-3:30pm.
A Celebration of Life for Carman will be held at The View at Lethbridge, 110 Scenic Dr N, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2:00pm with Lt. Zach Marshall officiating.
