Yoshio Tanaka

YOSHIO TANAKA October 9, 1915 - July 27, 2011 YOSHIO TANAKA, beloved husband of the late Kimiye Tanaka, passed away peacefully at St. Therese Villa with family by his side. Yoshio is survived by three children: Nancy (Roy) Adachi, Art (Cora) Tanaka, and Helen Mori; six grandchildren, and two great grandsons; his brother Mas Tanaka; three sisters: Kimiko Oseki, Richmond, BC, Sue (Ted) Koyata and Namiko (Roy) Ebata, Toronto. Yoshio was predeceased by a sister Noriko; brothers Minoru, Soshiro and Harry (Akiko). A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at THE BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, 470-40 Street South, Lethbridge, with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating. A Private family interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers and koden, memorial donations may be made to: Alberta Shigakenjinkai, RR 8-34-4, Lethbridge, AB T1J 4P4; or Tonari-gumi, 143 Kodiak Blvd. N, Lethbridge, AB T1H 6V4.
