Yoshio Nishiguchi

YOSHIO 'YOSH' NISHIGUCHI, beloved husband of Setsuko Nishiguchi, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Yosh was born on April 21, 1927 in New Westminster, BC where he spent his early years. In 1942, he was evacuated to Bridge River, BC with his mother and father. In 1946, they moved to Raymond, Alberta and in 1947 to Coalhurst. In 1948 they purchased the family farm in the Readymade area. In addition to farming, he drove a school bus for almost 35 years. He retired from farming in 1993, moving to Lethbridge in 2004 where he resided until his passing. He is survived by his wife Setsuko; son Brian (Chris) and their children Jordan and Gregory; son Doug (Stephanie); and son Ron. Yosh is predeceased by his parents Kahei and Kisa, and brother Mitsuo (Mits). A visitation will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, October 26.
