Winnifred Palmer

The family of WINNIFRED KATHLEEN PALMER announce the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother at the age of 81 years on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre. She is survived by her husband, Grant and sons: Bill (Brigitte) Palmer, Don (Anita) Palmer, Richard (Cindy) Palmer, Monte (April) Palmer and their daughter Vicky (Richard) Clark, all of Lethbridge, Alberta. She has 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Shannik of Kamloops, BC, and sister-in-law Alice Hallam. She was predeceased by her mother and father Margaret and Harry Hallam and brother Harry Hallam, as well as her granddaughter Kimberley Palmer. Winnie was born in Armstrong, BC on September 22, 1928, the daughter of Margaret and Harry Hallam. She was raised in Kamloops, BC where she met her sweetheart and married her husband Grant in 1947. They then moved to Lethbridge, AB where they resided until her passing. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Fairmont Chapel, 205 Fairmont Blvd. S., Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 2M7.
