William Baker

WILLIAM (BILL) STEVENS BAKER, beloved husband of Patricia Anne (Talbot) Baker of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 20, 2010 at the age of 77 years. He is the loving father of: Carol Baker of Okotoks, Sharon (David) Williams of Okotoks, Alan (Chandra) Baker of Chandler, Arizona, Vicki (Mike) Cooper of Okotoks, Bryan (Kim) Baker of Laveen, Arizona; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Hazel Kiely of Oakville, ON, and a brother Wayne Baker of Lethbridge. Bill is predeceased by his parents Phil and Lottie Baker; brothers: Roscoe, Bryan, Ken, Claude, and Don; sisters: LaPreal, and Myrtle. Bill was a successful businessman, well-known and respected in the community. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with family and friends, and travelling with his wife. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. His kindness and generosity touched many. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in the Cardston Alberta Temple. Bill exemplified a Christ-like love to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. We will cherish his memory in our hearts forever. The Funeral Service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Fairmont Chapel, 205 Fairmont Blvd. South, Lethbridge, on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Doug Wilde officiating. Friends may meet the family at the CHURCH on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. or on Saturday prior to the Service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, AB.
