Wayne Lawson

WAYNE LAWSON, beloved husband of the late Maryanne Lawson, passed away at St. Michaels Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the age of 66 years. He is the loving father of: Mona Lawson of Taber, Carol (Lindsey) Boehr of Lethbridge, Mary Jean Lawson of Lethbridge, and Les (Jana) Lawson of Airdrie. He is survived by his mother, Irene Lawson, his twin brother Chuck (Jan); sisters Laurel (Dwight), Dianne (Ed), sister-in-law Cathy Lawson and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Wayne is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Wayne is predeceased by his wife Maryanne Lawson, son Dean Lawson, two granddaughters, father Les Lawson, and brother Bud. Wayne was born July 8, 1942 in Calgary, Alberta. He received his education in Byemore and Olds, Alberta. Later he moved to Lethbridge where he lived until his passing. Wayne married Maryanne Bergen and together they raised their five children. Wayne accepted Christ as his Savior. It was his faith in God that saw him through his struggle with cancer. Family was important to Wayne. His passion was playing music - especially country gospel. He blessed so many people with his singing and playing. Wayne - we miss you - but we know you are now at peace - safe in the arms of God, and we'll be together again. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at RIVER OF LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2820-18 Avenue North, Lethbridge, with Pastor Todd Atkinson officiating. Cremation.
