Wanda Rumohr

WANDA JUNE RUMOHR passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her husbands Joe Rumohr and George Gallagher; father Norman Erskine; mother Hazel Erskine; and sister Fay Urdal. Wanda is survived by her sons Doug Rumohr and Hugh Rumohr; sister Connie Learner; brother Doug Erskine; numerous in-laws; and nephews and nieces. Wanda was born in Lomond, Alberta on June 13, 1928. She moved to Calgary with her husband, Joe Rumohr, in 1949 where she dedicated many years to caring for her home and family. Joe and Wanda moved to Nanimo, BC in the 1980's. She worked in a clerical position for Lafarge Concrete until they returned to Calgary in the 1990's. In 1998 her husband, Joe, passed away. In 2003, Wanda moved to Lethbridge. She married George Gallagher in 2005 and George passed away in 2007. Wanda enjoyed traveling, socializing, dancing and attended regular meetings with the Lomond girls' club. She loved to spend time with her relatives and delighted in the company of young children. A Memorial Service will be held for Wanda at a later date.
