Vivian Hargrave

VIVIAN LOUESE HARGRAVE, beloved wife of the late Marshall, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the age of 84 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Marshall (May 29/05), a daughter, Diann Simpson (Dec. 28/07), and a brother, Billy Jones. Vivian is the loving mother of: Marsha (Larry) Jordan of Ponoka, Bob Simpson (son-in-law), Lee (Karen) Hargrave of Lethbridge. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Vivian is survived by 3 brothers: Walter (Irene) Jones, Earl Jones, Darold (Bev) Jones; 4 sisters: Winnifred (Herb) Hoffman, Marge (Sid-deceased) Ellis, Helen Aronec, and Carol (Sonny) Buhr; a sister-in-law, Stella Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian was born August 16, 1923 in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan (the eldest of nine children) to Harold and Audrey Jones. Vivian and Marshall married July 23, 1943 and farmed in the Lucky Lake area, where they raised their three children. The family moved to Lethbridge in 1961, where Vivian was employed with the Metropolitan and later Automatic Electric. She enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting and the game of Bingo. Her grandchildren benefited from her gifts of stuffed animals and dolls, and her special homemade cookies. Vivian's family was her pride and joy, and now, Mom/Grandma can rest in peace with no more pain. A private family service will be held.
