Viola Miller

MILLER VIOLA ELIZABETH BESSIE MILLER, beloved wife of Clifford Blaine Miller, passed away in Magrath on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the age of 96. Viola was born in Ravenscrag Saskatchewan on 14 August 1918 to Frederick and Josephine Bessie. She was one of five children. Viola grew up in Eastend Saskatchewan during the 'Homestead Days', the Great Depression, and the 2nd World War. After she graduated from Beautician School she met and married her sweetheart Clifford Miller on June 20, 1949. Over the years she gave countless hours to genealogy research for her family as well as helping many others do research for their families. Viola was actively involved in the LDS church, serving various positions throughout the years. She and her husband served three full-time missions. Viola also found much enjoyment in various volunteer capacities in the community, such as the Magrath band. She found great delight in traveling, grandchildren and in serving and blessing the lives of those around her. Viola moved into the Magrath Diamond Willow Terrace with her husband Clifford where she resided for 17 years until December 2014 when she moved into the Samaritans. Viola will be dearly missed by her daughters: Vicki Beutler (Clyde), Vonna Bischler (John), Vynet Helgeson (Bradley), sons: Curtis (Sheila), Corwyn (Janet), Conan (Lisa) , a sister Janet Beatty, and a brother Donald Bessie (Doris), eleven granddaughters, nine grandsons, nine great grand-daughters, eight great-grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Miller, her parents Frederick and Josephine Bessie, brothers Charles and Harry. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL, Magrath. Friends may meet the family prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
