Takumi Oga

TAKUMI OGA, beloved husband of Mitsuko "Jean" passed away peacefully at home in Lethbridge on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Tak will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Shizue Tomiyama and Sumiko Miki; his four children: Cheryl (Shawn Crawford), Richard (Marilou Lalonde), Donald (Ramona Pittman-Trump), Esther (David Fleming); and his five grandchildren: Dennis, Nikki, Midori, Blaise and Logan. He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda Joy, his oldest brother Katsumi and two younger brothers Toshio and Yoshito. Tak loved farming with his two younger brothers (Oga Farms). He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, skiing, reading and activities with his grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF SOUTHERN ALBERTA, 470-40 St S, Lethbridge, AB with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating. Friends may meet the family and pay their respects from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m. at the Temple prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge. In lieu of flowers and koden, memorial donations may be made to Tak's favorite charities: Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta, 470-40 St S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 3Z5; or Alzheimer Society of Lethbridge, #402, 740-4 Ave S, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0N9.
