Sylvia Jeannine Jensen

April 13, 1929 -March 7, 2012 Surrounded by her family, SYLVIA JEANNINE (WILDE) JENSEN passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Raymond, AB. Jeannine is the daughter of William Wilford Wilde and Emma Anne Bullock, born April 13, 1929 in Edmonton, AB. Jeannine is survived by her husband and sweetheart of 66 years, Allan A. Jensen of Raymond, AB; 6 children: Ross (Pudge), Sherry (DeMonte) Vance, Maxine (Bill) Preston, Mark (Sharon), Scott, Kim (Mel) Leavitt; 29 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren. Jeannine is also survived by a brother, Duane (Shirley) Fraser. She is predeceased by her siblings: Fern Fraser, Karl (Hilda) Wilde, Ivan (Margaret) Wilde, Wallace (Virginia) Wilde, Herbert (Mame) Wilde, and Meryl Wilde. Jeannine's life was full of music and she shared her musical talent throughout Southern Alberta. She sang with "Nolan's Canadian Dance Band" and for many years the "Raymond Canadians". She blessed the lives of many people as she sang solos, trios and quartets. For many years Jeannine taught piano and vocal lessons, and was an accomplished pianist. Jeannine's life was full of love and service to others. She was active in the LDS church serving as chorister, organist, teacher, choir leader and visiting teacher. Everyone loved to see her smiling face as she lead the singing. Mom, we love you and will miss you. We are grateful for the life you have lived and the wonderful Christ-like example you were to all of us. God be with you 'till we meet again. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, KNIGHT STREET CHAPEL, Hwy 52 and 300 East, Raymond, with Bishop Bernie Orr officiating. Friends may meet the family at the church on Friday evening, March 9, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
