
STANLEY WILFORD BROWN, beloved husband of Elsie Sudo Brown for 67 years, passed away quietly at the age of 89 years on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Raymond Hospital. He leaves to mourn his children: Gary (Marilyn), Randy (Lana), Cherilyn Jorgensen (Dale) and Greg (Dana); as well as 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; also brothers Morris and Eldon and sisters: Mildred Brook, Marjorie Brown and Vivian Davies Stan was predeceased by his parents, Julius De Witt and Grace Hanna Brown and brothers: Howard, Jack (Bud) and Robert Brown. Stan was born at the Brown family farm south of Raymond, November 5, 1918. He grew up on the farm and farmed with his family for another 49 years. He also did carpentry work and worked for the CPR a short time. In 1989 Stan and Elsie moved to Raymond to retire and the family farm was sold. Stan worked hard all his life and had a very good life - lots of good times. He loved sports, especially baseball. He was the short stop for the Ridge Runners baseball team. In 1994 the team was selected as an honorary team in the Raymond Sports Hall of Fame. Camping, fishing, golfing, bowling, square dancing and winters in Arizona also made for some good times. Stan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friends may meet the family at the church on Friday, April 18 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or on Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond, on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Rolf Michel officiating. Interment to follow in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
