Sheryl Heggie

SHERYL KATHLEEN HEGGIE, beloved wife of the late Morris Heggie of Raymond, passed away at the Raymond Hospital on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the age of 66 years. She is the loving mother of: Rod (Pamela) Heggie of Edmonton, Kate (Roger) McLean of Brooks, and Ken (Tracey) Heggie of Raymond. Sheryl is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Bailey and Peyton Heggie; Jennifer, Charlene and Casey Christensen; Brody and Megan McLean; Jordin, Wyatt, Chase, Kennie and Kolt Heggie; brothers: Don (Carlene) Sabey, Guy (Arlene) Sabey, and in-laws Gary Christensen, Dianna (Lawrence) Kaupp, Christine (Allan) Brown and their families. Sherry was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, Morris, sister Evelyn Christensen, and parents Val and Helen Sabey. Sherry was born December 31, 1942 in Raymond where she spent her youth. In 1962 she married Morris Heggie. Over the years they resided in Lethbridge, Raymond, and Calgary. Sherry returned to Raymond in 1993. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She spent countless hours volunteering with minor hockey, swim club, figure skating, and the Agricultural and Historical Society. In 2007 she was the recipient of the Raymond Citizen of the Year. Her love lives on in her family. Friends may meet the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Knight Street Chapel, or prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral Service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Knight Street Chapel, Raymond, on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
