Shauna-Sue Holt

SHAUNA-SUE HOLT passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2010 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 39 years. She was surrounded by her parents, Wayne and Barbara Holt. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Isaac Holt, her Uncle Brian Holt and her maternal grandfather James Low. She is survived by her siblings: Michelle (Kaleo) Enos, Spencer (Brittany) Holt, Rodney (Jennifer) Holt; and her nieces and nephews: Kalani, Mealii, Keola, Le'olani, Isaac, Anne, Ty, Josh, Gracey, Sidney, Jackson, Lincoln, Angela, Kendra and Evelyn. Grandmothers Edith Holt (Norman) Howden, and Margarette Low; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and especially Ingeborg Pot and Angelique Quilty. Shauna-Sue was born May 8, 1971 in Calgary, Alberta. She was raised in Lethbridge, Alberta and graduated from LCI. She graduated from Brigham Young University, and did graduate work at the University of Victoria towards a masters degree. She was an excellent and much-loved elementary teacher at Stirling School. Shauna-Sue loved reading, and shared that love with her students and colleagues. Her collection of books reflected that love. She was always quick to share her beautiful smile, and give a helping hand wherever needed. Shauna-Sue served an LDS mission in Montreal, Quebec before graduating from BYU. She loved spending time with her family and friends. However, her nieces, nephews and Angela, Kendra, and Evelyn Quilty were the light of her life. Cooking, travelling, and playing the piano brought her much joy. Friends may meet the family on Monday evening, October 18, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stirling LDS Chapel, or prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. The Funeral Service will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Stirling Chapel, Stirling, Alberta on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Ben Nilsson officiating. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 2M7.
