Ruth Furukawa

MRS. YAEKO (Ruth) FURUKAWA, beloved wife of the late Shig Furukawa, passed away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, March 21, 2010. She is the loving mother of Ken (Doris), and Stan, both of Lethbridge. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Kenna (Greg), Scott (Vera), Brendan (Roberta), Allisen (Mitch), Lenard (Angie), Shelly; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by sisters: Connie (Tom-deceased) Gelleny, Jean (Gen) Miki, June (Ted) Aoki; and a brother Min (Novey) Yoshida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Shig, a sister Rituska Masuda (Bob), and brother Tim Yoshida (Rose), and her parents Nobushige and Tomo Yoshida. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. A Private Family Service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 At Ruth's request, koden is gratefully declined.
