OSBORNE RONALD HERBERT OSBORNE, was born on February 26, 1927 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Herb and Elsie Osborne. He passed away February 13, 2015, at the age of 87, at the Willow Creek Long Term Care Centre in Claresholm, Alberta. Ron married Neila Kaufman, March 16, 1946 in Yorkton. He started his career as a salesman selling for Scott Fruit and Fuller Brush. While in Yorkton, Ron and Neila had one daughter, Dianne. In 1951, they moved to Vancouver, BC where Ron continued his selling career selling for Chess Bros., Fresh-Pak and McCains. He was always involved in the food businesses. In 1963, Ron and Neila moved to Coquitlam, BC. While there they had two chosen daughters, October 1965, Deborah Lana and in February 1968, Della LaRon. Ron retired in 1998 moving to Lethbridge where he resided until October of 2014. With failing health he moved to Claresholm living at the Willow Creek Long Term Care Facility. Ron loved music. In his younger years he enjoyed playing the piano, organ and mouthorgan. He also would yodel and whistle many tunes. He always had a warm smile for anyone he met. Ron is survived by his 3 daughters, Dianne (Gerald) Alder, Deborah (Ted) Sorter and Della Gibb as well as by 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Leslie and Lloyd; sisters Marjorie (Lyle) Garranger, Muriel (Les) Humphrey, Marion (Benny) De Vries, Jeanette (Tom) Schollie as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Ron was predeceased by his parents Herb and Elsie Osborne, his wife Neila, brothers Louis and Eric, sisters Edna Coleman and Neila Wilson. A Funeral Service will be held at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, on Friday February, 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A Private Family Graveside service will be held in Calgary on Saturday, February 21, 2015.
