JENSEN RONALD "WAYNE" JENSEN passed away at age 78 on Monday, May 25, 2015 at St. Michael's Health Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta, after a long and courageous battle with illness. He is predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents Dorothy and Warner, and his brother Dale. He is survived by his children: Debbie, Larry, Karen (Ed) Stoller, grandchildren Dustin and Nicole; sister Sharlene (John) Hollingsworth, brother Dick (Arvella), sister-in-law Linda, many other dear relatives, and Daisy the family pet. Wayne was born in Lethbridge on August 20, 1936 and grew up in the Stirling, Legend area. He played baseball and loved sports. He attended school in Stirling, and here formed many lifetime friendships. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him. He worked on the oil rigs for many years and then farmed and ranched in Spring Coulee after leaving the rigs. He and Mary were the ultimate hosts, and whenever you visited their home you felt their warm hospitality. Wayne enjoyed spending times with family and friends and always kept in touch. He had a love of animals. He was a friend to all and many were his deeds of true charity. He had a great work ethic and right to the end was trying to be helpful to those around him. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE NORTHSIDE CHAPEL, 2223-6A. Avenue North, Lethbridge. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
