Rita Margrethe Olson

RITA MARGRETHE (NIELSEN) OLSON passed away at the Raymond Hospital on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the age of 89 years.

Rita is the loving mother of 14 children: Jim (Theresa) of Raymond, Carol MacPherson of Regina, SK, Christopher Olson of Grande Prairie, AB, Elizabeth Norton of St. Thomas, ON, Kenneth (Rachel) Olson of Rockyford, AB, Nancy Andersen of Manning, AB, Susanne Mills of Victoria, BC, Wendy (Chris) Wilcox of St. George, UT, Nicholas Olson of Raymond, Laurie (Rhea) Olson of Tees, AB, Jennifer Jeffries (Dr. Ken Der) of Edmonton, AB, Karen Vreeling (Trenton Stierle) of Edmonton, AB, Valerie (Kevin) Ashmore of Whitecourt, AB and Colleen Young of Sharon, ON as well as by 39 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Kaj Nielsen (99) of Melfort, SK. Rita was predeceased by her oldest sibling Erna Nielsen (1 ½) of Denmark.

A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL, 221 N, 400 W in Raymond, on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. with Bishop Corry Tolman officiating.

Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m.

Interment in Temple Hill Cemetery.
