Rene Audenaert

RENE EMIL AUDENAERT, beloved husband of Betty Audenaert, passed away peacefully at the Raymond Hospital on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the age of 83 years. He was born May 11, 1925 in Raymond, Alberta. He attended his schooling in Raymond and went on to work for various farmers over the years before finally acquiring his own farm. He also worked for the Town of Raymond. He had a passion for his farm as well as his cattle; they were his life. He was married to his wife, Betty Still, for sixty years. He had a strong passion for grandchildren as well as his great children. They were the light of his life. Rene is survived by his 2 daughters: Shirley (Martin) DeHeer , Pat Lucas (Allan) Taylor, 9 grandchildren : Marty DeHeer, Rene (Heidi) DeHeer, Betty (Brian) Loder, Wendy Lucas (Jason Minion), Vicky Wandler (Al Sawada), Mike Lucas, Rhonda Audenaert (Chris Ledger), Lori Audenaert, Robbie Audenaert; 13 great grandchildren, 1 brother: Rudy, 1 sister: Lavone and many nieces and nephews. Rene is predeceased by his parents: Alowise and Celina, 2 brothers: Eddie and Albert, 2 sons: Robert and Alan, granddaughter: Amber and son-in-law: William. Funeral Services will be held at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street North, on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Greg Peterson officiating. Friends may meet the family on Friday, September 19, 2008 at the funeral home from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. or prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond.
