REED LYNN HOGENSON passed away peacefully in Raymond on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the age of 86 years. He is the loving father of: Ben Hogenson of Edmonton, AB and Corin Hogenson of Stavely, AB. He is also survived by Kenneth (Kirby) Hogenson of Lethbridge; Lucille Waters of Boise, Idaho, USA; and Shirley Peel of Alta Loma, California, USA. Reed was predeceased by one son, Kib Hogenson and a brother, Clell Hogenson. Reed was born on November 11, 1921 in Stirling, son of Neil and Emma Hogenson. He was raised on a farm near Stirling. At the age of 18 years he joined the Armed Services. They kept him in Calgary recruiting personnel with the rank of Corporal for the duration of World War II. He was released in 1946 at the end of the war and called on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in January of 1947 and spent two years in California as a missionary. He enjoyed music and learned to play the piano as a young man. In his latter years he served as a temple worker in the Boise, Idaho Temple. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Stirling Cemetery.
