Peter Megyesi

MEGYESI PETER VANDALE MEGYESI, beloved husband for 47 years of Sharon of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the age of 70 years. He is the loving father of Seanan (Shannon) of Toronto, Candace (Marc) of Lethbridge, and Myles of Calgary. He is also survived by granddaughter Kayla, great granddaughter Amelia, and twelve siblings. Peter was predeceased by his mother, father, and four siblings. "Van" was born in McDowell, SK on April 4, 1944. He later moved to Mission, BC and then to Calgary where he was a firefighter/Inspector with the Calgary Fire Department, retiring on April 30, 2004. Since retirement he was truly the "man-of-many interests" from bus driving, chicken plucking, garage saleing, to building maintenance, he also took many mission trips to Juarez, Mexico with Operation Amigo and friends. They he joined the Tab church group in Lethbridge in trips to Morelos, Mexico. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with relatives, friends and acquaintances who have gone on before. A Celebration of Life will be held at the LETHBRIDGE CHRISTIAN TABERNACLE, 1805-9 Avenue North, Lethbridge, on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m, with viewing at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Erik Hawkinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lethbridge Christian Tabernacle Mexico Missions Fund.
