PEGGY MARILYN BULLOCK HARKER, beloved wife of the late Leonard Jack Harker of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in Lethbridge at the age of 85 years. She is the loving mother of: Orin Leonard (Valerie) of Calgary, Jacqueline Gail (George Schow) of Medicine Hat, and Carmen Rae (Conway Brewerton) of Lethbridge. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren: Benjamin (Caroline) Harker, Bradley (Andrea) Harker, Michael Harker, Christopher Harker, David (Jessica) Schow, Jonathan (Sylive) Schow, Joseph Schow, Cydney (Jordan) Van Orman, Daniel Schow, Benjamin Schow, Lee (Kristy) Brewerton, Christina (David) Steed, Elizabeth (Nick) Shields, Melissa Brewerton, Laura Brewerton, Kathryn Anne Brewerton, and John Brewerton; and 19 great grandchildren. Peggy was born on March 14, 1926 and was raised in Welling, Alberta. She graduated as valedictorian from the Galt School of Nursing. She served as the Matron of the Magrath Hospital and loved her association with both colleagues and patients. On November 2, 1949, Peggy married Leonard Jack Harker in the Cardston Temple. She found great joy in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Peggy was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities including Primary, Relief Society, and Youth programs. She served for many years as a well-loved seminary teacher. Peggy and Jack moved to Magrath after Jack's retirement in 2002. Peggy especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about her flower beds, her cherished friends and loved to travel to see family. Peggy will be greatly missed by her friends and loving family. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410-28 Street South with Bishop Bryan Renaud officiating. Friends may meet the family on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.
