Patricia Cordeiro

PATRICIA ANN CORDEIRO After a long battle with Alzheimer's disease Patricia passed away peacefully February 28, 2009 in the Chinook Regional Hospital at 2:00 a.m. Patricia was the beloved wife of Manuel Cordeiro and loving mother of Mark Cordeiro and Paula Gillespie. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren: Shantel, April, Krystle, Jarrod, Kaylee, Mateya, Teyonna, Arryanna, Jayden, Daylin, and Skylah, and great grandchildren Evyn and Ashtyn. Patricia was the only daughter born April 1, 1934 to Edward and LeOra (Peterson) Gunning of Welling, Alberta. Patricia and Manuel were married in Vancouver, BC on July 4, 1959 and established their working and family life in Kitimat, BC. After 40 years in 1994 Patricia and Manuel retired to Lethbridge, Alberta. Patricia was an accomplished elementary school teacher, and made a difference in many peoples lives. Patricia will be lovingly missed by her family and friends, but will always be remembered for her commitment to her family, dedication to the church, and love for her Savior. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Mountain Heights Chapel, 175 Rocky Mountain Blvd. W., Lethbridge, with Bishop Darren Bennett officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service ONLY from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, at 2:30 p.m. The family would like to extend a heart felt thanks to the attentive caregivers in their home. To the doctors and nurses we extend our appreciation for the care they gave to Patricia during the last 10 days of her life in the Chinook Regional Hospital. Forever in our hearts.
