Norma Dobra

NORMA KANE DOBRA, beloved wife and soul mate of Charles (Chuck) Dobra for the past 58 years, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012. She is the beloved mother of: Bob (Donna) Dobra, Bill (Cindy) Dobra, and Ian Dobra. Special Nan to: Nicole, Chris, Barrett and Madison Dobra. Norma was born in Yorkshire, England October 14, 1936 to Rose and Walter Scargill. As a family with her parents and brother Ian, immigrated to Canada in December 1947 settling in Lethbridge. Norma attended school in Lethbridge at Westminster Elementary, Hamilton Junior High and LCI. She married Charles February 17, 1954 and sealed for time and eternity in the Cardston Temple. Norma and Charles loved to travel and enjoyed their home full of their children and grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her parents Rose and Walter Scargill and in-laws Ann and Charles Dobra Sr. Special thanks to Doctors, nurses and hospital staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital ICU and all our friends for their prayers and thoughts during this trying time. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LETHBRIDGE EAST STAKE CENTRE, 4105 Forestry Ave. S, with Bishop Mark Heninger officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
