Myrtle Rea

MYRTLE NELLIE REA, beloved wife of the late Frank Rea, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the age of 90 years. She is the loving mother of Sharon (John) Meheden of Lethbridge, Sylvia (Tom) Fraser of Lethbridge and Kelven (Shannon) Rea of Medicine Hat. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, a brother Arlie Pearce of Kelowna, and a sister-in-law Olive Thompson of Lethbridge. She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Nellie Pearce and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Myrtle was born on December 22, 1917 in Ardrossan, Alberta where she met and married the late Frank Rea. Together they lived in Edmonton, Vulcan, Camrose and then Lethbridge in 1956 and made her home here for the next 52 years. She loved music, did a lot of reading, crossword puzzles, puzzles and enjoyed gardening. Mom was a very kind, gentle, loving mother and grandmother. She was well-liked by everyone she met. A memorial service will be held at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Red Cross Society, 1120 - 7 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta or a charity of your choice.
